UnitedforFogo-ftIn response to the volcano eruption that occurred in Fogo/Cabo Verde on November 23, 2014 and the immediate need for assisting those affected, members of the CaboVerdean communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island have come together as a united front to create an action plan that will be put into effect immediately in three phases.

Phase One: donate at www.childrenofcaboverde.org

Monetary donations – An online campaign was launched on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 12:00pm to raise funds for immediate relief. The goal is to raise $10,000 in three days. All donations are 100% tax deductible. To donate, please log onto www.childrenofcaboverde.org (Our Children, Our Future, Inc. Tax ID# 30-0437303). Funds raised will be used to purchase food and emergency supplies at different locations in Fogo/CaboVerde for those most affected by the eruption.
