Ministry for Communities launches a Photo Contest entitled “CABO VERDE, HERE & THERE”

[9/ 22] The Ministry for Communities launched  a Photo Contest entitled “CABO VERDE, HERE & THERE” as part of the celebrations of the National Day of Culture and Communities, which is celebrated on October 18th. The prizes for the selected pictures will be 150.000$00 (one hundred fifty thousand escudos) 100,000$00 (one hundred thousand escudos) and 50,000$00 (fifty thousand escudos) towards the 1st. 2nd. And the 3rd. places respectively.

The period for the submission of the application ends October 1st.

The contest is open to the participation of all Cabo Verdeans or descendants, residing in Cabo Verde or in the diaspora and contestants must submit four photographs in color or black and white, the application form duly completed and photocopy of an identification document that can be the passport or Cabo Verdean identification card. As for the descendants, they must submit, along with the copy of identification, proof of Cabo Verdean ancestry, for example, a birth certificate.
From the pictures submitted to the contest, we will carefully select some that will be part of the exhibit “CABO VERDE, LI & LA” (CABO VERDE HERE & THERE) which will be open to the public for one week in Praia, 12-18 October, to commemorate the National Day of Culture and Communities.
