The Dearborn Middle School will be demolished in October of 2014.
The Dearborn Middle School, a building built in 1912 that for most of its existence served mostly recently arrived students from Cabo Verde as well as Capeverdean students who lived in the Dorchester and Roxbury area, will be demolished in October of 2014.
Recently, the Boston school department and the state of Massachusetts entered into an agreement to build a brand new 70.3 million dollar STEM building to serve the community. In order to make room for the new building the current building,
An event to celebrate the building, organized by a committee formed by a group of teachers, students, and administrators, is scheduled for Friday, September 5, 2014.
