On Saturday, July 05, 2014 at 6:00 p.m., The Consulate General of Cabo Verde in Boston is hosting an event to celebrate the 39th anniversary of independence of Cabo Verde
A group of Caboverdean American officials holding relevant positions and individuals that have reached the top of their academic careers will be honored and recognized by the Consul-General for their contributions to “the betterment of the Caboverdean Community and the relationship between Cabo Verde and the United States of America”. Invited guests include American and Cabo Verdean elected officials, Cape Verdean Organizations, Diplomatic Consular Corps of Boston, distinguished Caboverdeans that are being honored, Cabo Verdean Media, Religious Leaders, Representatives of Caboverdean political parties, among others.
This event is part of a vast program of activities organized and presented by Caboverdeans all over the United Sates, with the largest events taking place in Boston, New Bedford and Providence in the next few days and later in Brockton and Onset. The calendar of events, attached, also includes celebrations in other cities across the USA, namely, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Charlotte.
