Boston, MA, April 10, 2014 – Nick Pinheiro, Senior Software Development Engineer / Senior Consultant at Microsoft, has been selected by social networking giant Facebook, Inc as one of the leading Facebook App Developers in the world. In addition Nick has been invited to join Facebook Founder & CEO, Mark Zuckerberg as well as engineers from Facebook, Instagram and Parse at the company’s F8 Conference.
“This year’s F8 won’t be about showing off new projects or highlighting the team’s innovative ideas. Instead, it will revolve around developers, and what they can bring to the social network. We’re going back to our roots and having a pure developer conference,” – Ilya Sukhar, Facebook Head of Products
Nick’s work on the Facebook development platform consists of a cloud based solution providing Facebook Apps as a Service. The service, appropriately named ‘dbeste’, allows anyone to create their own Facebook App with just a few clicks. More importantly, the service allows you to integrate topical content from the internet’s largest information providers including Facebook, YouTube, iTunes, Amazon and Bing. Within a simple user experience, visitors to the app are able to consume all content on a particular topic, in one place. The solution is entirely powered by Microsoft Azure, Microsoft’s new cloud hosting platform.
“I am absolutely thrilled to collaborate with the Facebook, Instagram & Parse teams to share what we’ve all learned, hear where the platform is headed and most importantly plan for what we can create together in the future.” – Nick Pinheiro, Microsoft
