(Rhode Island) In an effort to look at the big picture of state’s future and make Rhode Island a better place to live and work, Governor Lincoln Chafee is inviting everyone to get involved in RhodeMap RI.
This initiative is a chance to plan ways to strengthen our economy, create vibrant neighborhoods, and prepare for future growth.
Throughout the next year, all Rhode Islanders will have a chance to talk about their ideas and personal experiences of living and working in the State at public forums and interactive workshops. The topics discussed will include affordable housing, and our traditional villages and town centers,
as well as online tools. RhodeMap RI wants to hear about what works in your community; challenges you face every day; and key needs for Rhode Island’s future.
The decisions made through RhodeMap RI will affect all the State ‘ s residents and businesses, and it is critical that they hear from as many Rhode Islanders as possible. RhodeMap RI wants all of our cities and towns to be thriving and successful. This effort is an opportunity to work together to realize a shared vision for Rhode Islands future.
The outcomes of this Statewide Planning Initiative will guide State urban policy decisions in the future, says Michael Van Leesten, CEO of OIC of Rhode Island.
